Nobody Dies, Not Even the Chicken
Since it's been a long day, 16 km along very fast traffic-y roads often no sidewalks and 93 degree heat, I thought I would put up a few pictures so you know nobody died, everyone lived. Happy ending today!
No sidewalks most of the way
I'm stuck up against this wall, as the tractor is moving fast
Also, a beautiful sunrise
Some fields and hanging fruit
Rooster
Rooster
and more Rooster
A chicken legend told in Spain and Portugal (with many detail differences) about a young boy who will be hung for stealing. The boy tells the judge that, if he is innocent, the cooked rooster on the judge's plate will get up and crow to prove his innocence and save him from being hung. Long story short, the chicken gets up and crows and the boy survives in both countries!
Breaking 200 km to Santiago
The Sello stamp where we stayed at a Donativo last night. Two young women went out and bought groceries and fixed dinner for everyone staying there (about 40 people). Everyone, in turn, pitched in a few euros to pay them back.
This was at a museum in Porto but it sums up the days!
