What I Carry

Gregory Jade 24 liter pack with shell and AVP pin attached

Most of what I carry every day pictured above

Here's the list:

Passport

Shoes. I chose Salomon Aero Glide 4 Grvl. They are a hybrid for road and trail.. I really like 'um

Two (mostly wool) shirts with hoods

Two pairs of pants; one long, one short

One pair of pajamas

Two sets of (wool) underware

Two pair of (wool) socks

A (wool) buff

One quick-dry towel

One silk-like sleeping sack very lightweight ( there are often no sheets or just a paper liner for the bed)

Toothbrush

Toothpaste

Floss

Electrolyte tablets

Fisiocrem (arnica, menthol, magic)

Sunscreen (trying a new one, Isdin spf 100+)

KT tape (blister prevention and muscle support)

Aspirina

Soap and washcloth

Tiny hairbrush

Sewing kit

Toiletry bag with a carabineer to hang in the shower

Rain cover to keep pack dry

Raincoat (not pictured because I'm wearing it)

Ultraspire waist lamp with charger and extra battery

Supplements for the entire journey (Natural Factors Affron Saffron and Natural Factors Regenerlife Mitochondrial Function)

A few more things: One charger with two  charging cables, one European adapter, one set ear buds, and a small light to use in the morning in the albergue when leaving early and to attach to the back of the pack for safety early mornings. One cell phone not pictured.
Oh, and the credential. This is stamped at each albergue that is stayed in. It is what allows someone to stay at an economical rate, and it is proof of walking in order to get a Compostela (pictured below) at the end of the walk.

As you arrive in Santiago you only have to walk
100kms for a Compostela

Not pictured: one walking pole and one hat.

My pack weighs about 4.5kg or about 10 lbs without water.

Why so much wool? Keeps you cool in the heat and warm in the cold. You might smell like a sheep but it is better than other things you might smell like. Wool is easy on odor.

In case you decide to walk, some say "less is more," the less you carry the more comfortable you will be.

Also, Camino Rule, never put your backpack on the bed.

On the way, so far, I have had everything I need.

The best part about making this list, l went to the lavanderia yesterday and everything is clean!
